Today is exactly 2 weeks from the launch of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and with the upcoming expansion rapidly approaching the hype train is at this point bellowing with excitement. Destiny 2 fans ask for one thing majority of the time and that thing is information.
Information on every aspect of the game and one of the largest questions majority of the community if (not the whole community) asks for is what’s happening in the story and content? “What are we going to be doing in the next expansion?” We have known for awhile now we are going to Europa this is confirmed. We will be fighting another form of the Fallen, one with a leader that has learned how to harness the power of the Darkness. As of today though we know just a bit more about things that will be going on in “Season of the Hunt”. That’s right today Bungie released a ViDoc on the newest expansion and upcoming season that will be hitting Destiny 2 on November 10th.
Beyond Light will feature a ton of new content for paying & free to play Guardians featuring
- Beyond Light Campaign
- Stasis Subclasses Unlocked
- Salvation Grip Exotic Grenade Launcher Quest
Free to Play
- Access to Europa
- New Cosmodrome
- New Season Armor & Exotic Weapons
- New Strikes Added to Playlist
- New Lost Sectors
- Over 100 Seasonal Ranks
- New Artifact Mods
- New Triumphs, Shaders, Emblems
- Iron Banner
- The Dawning
Evening just getting into Destiny on a free to play account for Beyond Light right now seems to be a great idea. With a full season of content being at your disposal, though actually purchasing the game and expansion will give access to more end game material.
During the ViDoc we got to hear about quite a bit of ideas that went into setting this stage for us to go through. From the dynamic weather all the way to the darkening story the whole attitude of the game feels just as dark as the eventual enemy we will be facing. Not to mention that it looks like we will be getting a ton of story, that looks a bit different that many would have thought that the guardians of the tower would get themselves into.
Getting glimpses of Zavala with two Cabal Centurions at his side, and even seeing the new NPC character Shaw Han talking to a player. Lastly seeing old faces like Osiris back again feels good, and for those who are not completely entrenched in the lore of Destiny 2 will find an unexpected face finally come back. There is so much coming to Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Destiny 2 as a whole it is insane, and loyal Destiny fans are ready for it!
Destiny 2: Beyond Light launches on November 10th for Playstation 4, Xbox One & PC.
